Design to impact your city!

Lead Organization:
The Chicago Architecture Foundation

Partner Organizations:
YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago , Mikva Challenge

Project Goal:
Create a new model of face-to-face, hands-on, creative-driven programming, which is aligned around community-based issues.
Allow students, with the facilitation through the design process by professional mentors, to think critically and solve complex issues with their own creativity and inherent knowledge.
Allow CAF to work with neighborhoods and institutional partners we’ve never worked with before. Utilize this opportunity to test a program model of broad, city engagement.
Use investigative skills and hands-on building techniques as a model for engaging teens and introducing them to careers in the built environment.
