As of January 1, 2018, stewardship of Hive Chicago will transition from Mozilla to a new local non-profit, the Chicago Learning Exchange (CLX). A networked mobile game for High School aged youth to discover (and claim) new learning spots in their city.

Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago | Center for the Advancement of Science Education

Project Goal:
Gameplay:
1.) Players get into teams of 10 accompanied by a mentor
2.) The team looks at their iPad and decides
which Spots they want to visit
3.) The team travels to that location to explore
4.) If the team successfully solves the learning
challenge at that Spot, they convert that spot on the
map to their team color
5.) Teams compete to takeover patterns of Spots on
the map

2.) Discover new locations, programs and
learning pathways
3.) Strategize as a team
4.) Spend time with mentor & team mates
