Since January 1, 2018, stewardship of Hive Chicago has transitioned from Mozilla to a new local non-profit, the Chicago Learning Exchange (CLX). Please visit us at chicagolx/joinus to learn how you and your organization can join our growing community. The Hive is still the Hive.

With only two months before the end of the school year, it’s a great time to make new connections, generate ideas, and get inspired at the April Hive Meetup on Thursday, April 19th. This month’s meetup will feature the 2018 Round 1 Funded Project Showcase and an emerging model to better connect in-school and out-of-school time.

#hivebuzz: Share program or project updates

Click here to learn about how you can Share & Lead discussions or projects at the meetup.

During the meetup anyone can have 60 seconds to announce an event, program or opportunity available to others and then 10-15 minutes to lead small discussion/breakout groups to share more details and information about your update with curious attendees. If you are interested, you’ll need to let us know in advance. Please submit your information via the online form by end of the day, on the Wednesday EOB before the meetup.

March Meetup Recap

In March, more than 75 Hive members convened to reconnect, make new connections, and learn how to better understand and support immigrant and refugee communities from the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.  Attendees were also treated to a fun (and competitive) Tinker Time using Mentimeter.  To access the slides from the March Meetup, click here.
